Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech focuses on Salamanca Tree Hiddle (who’s knows as Sal for short) and her ranting of her journey to find the mother that left her family out of the blue. She also mentions her close friend Phoebe, whose main concerns are cholesterol and lunatics, who mother also leaves as well. It is one of the best books I have ever read and I’m glad I took it out when I did."
